Why am I not seeing all of the available options?

When using Enterasource’s product configurator to customize your server, you might notice that not all options are available to view or select from the outset. This is an intentional design choice to ensure that the components you choose are fully compatible with each other, resulting in a reliable and efficient server configuration.

For instance, the visibility of certain CPUs is dependent on your previous selections. CPU #2 will only appear as an option once CPU #1 has been selected, ensuring that both CPUs are compatible. Similarly, memory options are closely tied to your CPU choices. The number of CPUs in your configuration affects the total number of available DIMM slots, and the generation of CPU determines the supported memory speeds. Therefore, memory options will only become available once the necessary CPU selections have been made.

Additionally, the availability of network controllers and other PCIe-dependent options, such as BOSS controller cards and External RAID controllers, is contingent on your prior selections. These components use open PCIe slots, and the total number of available slots is affected by other choices you make during the configuration process. As such, you must select or opt out of these options before the configurator can accurately display the number of available PCIe slots for your server configuration.

By guiding you through a step-by-step selection process, we ensure that every component in your server build is compatible, leading to optimal performance and stability. If you have any questions or need assistance during the configuration process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.
